Tell us a bit about yourself. What inspired you to become a Lokafyer?
I moved to Paris for my studies, and while I enjoyed my academic life, I felt the need to do something fun and more social outside of it—something that allowed me to meet people from different backgrounds. Becoming a Lokafyer was the perfect opportunity to do that. Plus, I wanted to keep practicing my German so I wouldn’t forget the language!
What do you love most about the city you guide in?
Honestly, everything! The architecture, the people, the culture, the food—the entire atmosphere. Paris is such a special city with so much to offer. You can never get bored here; there's always something new to discover around every corner.

My passion for the luxury industry brought me to Paris. I moved here specifically to pursue a career in luxury and began my Master’s in the field. The city is the perfect place for that.

I honestly have so many beautiful memories, it’s hard to choose just one! Every person I’ve guided has been lovely and amazing. I truly cherish every experience—it’s something I say from the heart.
What do you think makes a tour truly exceptional?
For me, it’s all about the people. I love showing Paris through my own eyes—energetic, nostalgic, full of art and beauty. What makes each tour exceptional are the conversations I have with travelers. Everyone has a unique story, and that’s what makes each tour so special.
How do you prepare for your tours to ensure they are unique and engaging for travelers?
I always get in touch with travelers a few days before the tour to learn more about their preferences—what they like, dislike, expect from the experience, and if there are any specific neighborhoods they want to see. I then research and visit those places myself to create a tailored route. During the tour, I stay flexible so I can adapt to what they enjoy most.
What is your favorite part of being a Lokafyer?
Talking to people, without a doubt. It’s such a nice feeling to get to know travelers personally and share the city with them. I already love exploring Paris, so doing it with company is even better. It’s always interesting to see how others perceive the city and which spots they fall in love with—each traveler brings a fresh perspective.
Have you learned anything surprising or unexpected from the travelers you've guided?
Surprisingly, yes—I’ve learned even more about Paris itself! I once guided a gentleman who had studied art history, and he shared so much fascinating information about Parisian art and architecture. That tour ended up being super insightful for me.

The weather! It’s always the weather. Paris can be unpredictable, so I try to stay adaptable and find cozy indoor spots or adjust the tour depending on the conditions.

Honestly, all of it. Some travelers have even kept in touch with me after the tour, which is incredibly rewarding. Those ongoing connections mean a lot.

I love showing travelers the small, charming local streets with beautiful architecture, lesser-known libraries with stunning interiors, cute coffee shops, and authentic restaurants that only locals usually know about.

The 6th arrondissement is my favorite! It has everything: adorable boutiques, authentic French restaurants, and beautiful architecture. It’s also close to the Seine, filled with art galleries, and is a fantastic area for shopping.
